The number and kinds of different animals that you can decide to have on your FarmVille farm game is constantly growing. These animals greatly increase the value of your farm and it is so much fun to collect the ones that you really like. You do have to factor in the fact that all of these animals do take up space and use your resources. There are always good reasons to keep all of these animals but you do need to factor in a few things when deciding which animals to keep.

Space Saving Animals

On your farm, space is always at a premium. That is why it is a good idea to focus on raising the animals that will take up the least amount of space. This list includes the obvious smaller animals like ducks and bunnies, but also a couple of others you might not expect.

As long as you have enough neighbors (or enough farm cash) you can purchase dairy farms to keep your cows in. These hold up to 20 cows (or 19 cows and 1 bull) each and you can buy as many as you would like.
Not only do dairy farms take up much less space than 20 individual cows would, they are also much easier to collect from. With one click, you can harvest the milk from all 20 cows within your dairy farm. In addition, cows are not the only animals that get this type of special accommodations.

Building yourself a chicken coop will save you time and space in the same way by giving you a place to house up to 20 chickens. Unfortunately, there is a limit of 1 chicken coop per farm, so you’re best off keeping your total chicken population to 20, so they will all fit in the coop.

Where to Get Your Farm Animals

Also, all of these animals don’t come from the same place. In fact, the only animals you can buy with coins at this point are sheep and pigs. These animals are fine to have around but they are not particularly space efficient, nor do they bring in a ton of revenue. There are a few other specialty animals that you can buy only with farm cash ? several special varieties of chickens and an orange tabby at the moment. And there are usually a few seasonal specials too, that are only available for a limited time.

Gifts From Neighbors

However, you should not need to buy any animals at all if you are patient and have managed to accumulate a few good neighbors. There are quite a few different kinds of animals available as gifts, and if you get them this way, they are free. That means that you do not have to wait until you have made back the purchase price before you start making money from these animals. You can also get many more types of animals this way, so just tell your friends what you would like to receive.
